I have the honour to inform you

that the Secretary of the Dairy Farm Company has applied

for a new lease of Inland Lot 1,260 on which the Company's Town Depot stands, and requests that the lease may be for

75 years renewable on the usual conditions.

2.

The present lease was granted to

the Company without auction, (in order to encourage the

establishment of an industry beneficial to the health of

the community) for a period of 20 years commencing from

the 7th. December, 1889, and will therefore not expire for

14 years.

3.

The area at present leased to the

Dairy Farm is 5,548 Square Feet, made up of 3,200 Square

Feet original area and an extension of 2,348 Square Feet

granted in 1890, the Crown Rent being $416, or at the rate

of $3,266 per acre. This exceptionally high rent was fixed
